We have merged Caribbean creativity with world-class production standards to put our stories where they belong: on the Global Stage.
Brands invested in short ads, not long-term storytelling. Audiences wanted representation but were forced to look abroad. The region had passion but not the ability. That’s why SGP Studios was born.
⸻
Founded with one bold question:
“What if the Caribbean could create world-class productions by us, for us, and for the world?” SGP Studios wasn’t just built to make shows and movies; it was built to make history. We decided to bridge creativity and commerce, to show that local stories could rival streaming originals and that Caribbean production could meet Hollywood standards without losing our rhythm, humor, or soul.
⸻
Our journey began with small but fearless steps walking into banks, mortgaging our homes, and daring to believe that a world-class studio could be built right here in the Caribbean. From the ground up, SGP Studios became more than a company; it became a movement of dreamers, doers, and believers. We assembled a passionate local team writers, producers, directors, cinematographers, gaffers, camera operators, audio engineers, production designers, editors, accountants, legal and financial experts, marketers, web developers, and every creative and technical mind it takes to bring stories to life on screen. It was never easy. There were long nights, hard choices, and countless challenges but also unstoppable creativity, prayer, deep faith, and an unshakable belief in what we were building. Those early days shaped our identity and our mission: to prove that from the Caribbean, excellence can rise, innovation can thrive, and stories here can move the world. This is who we are: resilient, visionary, and built on purpose.
Then came our breakthrough moment: 🎥 Carnival Catwalk, the first Caribbean series ever picked up by NBC Peacock. A 99% local team, shot across Trinidad & Tobago, seen by audiences worldwide. That moment wasn’t just a win for SGP Studios, it was a proof of concept: The Caribbean could finally take its seat at the global table.
⸻
The Vision Now, SGP Studios stands as the creative engine of a new Caribbean film economy. Our vision is clear: To make the Caribbean the next great destination for world-class film, television, and branded entertainment. We see every camera roll, every lighting cue, and every local hire as a step toward building an industry, not just producing shows.
⸻
